8 Week Program
- Closely follows the Academy Horse Program like the one at Clinton Anderson’s ranch where I spent about a year learning under him and his professional clinicians. It works on the Fundamentals exercises including:
- on the ground,
- riding,
- trailering,
- riding on trails,
- bridling,
- handling their feet,
- and every day-to-day things like:
- catching the horse
- being respectful
- hosing/bathing
- and allowing mounting from a step.
Level 1 of the Academy Horse Program
*The foundation to establishing a safe and enjoyable partnership with your horse*
*The foundation to establishing a safe and enjoyable partnership with your horse*
- This is dedicated to teaching your horse the entire Fundamentals level of the Method Groundwork and riding exercises designed to earn your horse’s trust and respect.
- The Academy Horse Program is for those who are serious about getting results. A truly broke horse needs equal doses of long rides, wet saddle pads and concentrated training.
- We dedicate 2 hours a day, 5 - 6 days a week to each training horse in order for them to be safe and respectful partners.
- Your horse will learn:
- essential groundwork exercises,
- be ridden in the arena,
- to be ridden on the trail,
- with or without other horses,
- and worked extensively over an obstacle course.
